Nodes & Infrastructure
Complete specification of UnyKorn's node architecture, validator class requirements, hardware specifications, and network topology for institutional-grade blockchain operations.
Network Architecture
UnyKorn's network comprises specialized node types, each optimized for a distinct operational role. Validators form the consensus core, while bridge, archive, RPC, and light nodes provide infrastructure services.
Consensus Layer
Bridge Layer
Service Layer
Connectivity Requirement: Full validators must maintain active connections to ≥ 70% of the validator set. Bridge validators additionally maintain XRPL peer connections. P2P communication is encrypted with Noise Protocol Framework (IK pattern) with Ed25519 node identity binding.
Full Validator
Genesis / Institutional / StandardCore consensus participants responsible for block production, transaction validation, and policy quorum enforcement.
Hardware Specifications
Requirements
- Minimum stake per validator class
- ≥ 99.9% uptime SLA commitment
- ≥ 70% validator set connectivity
- DID-verified institutional identity
- Geographic diversity requirement
Bridge Validator
InfrastructureSpecialized validators operating both UnyKorn and XRPL nodes, responsible for cross-chain asset verification and bridge security.
Hardware Specifications
Requirements
- 100,000 UNY minimum stake
- Full XRPL node synchronization
- 3-of-5 threshold signing participation
- Automated circuit breaker monitoring

Compliance Validator
CompliancePolicy enforcement validators that evaluate regulated transactions against jurisdiction-specific KYC/AML rule sets before mempool admission.
Hardware Specifications
Requirements
- 250,000 UNY minimum stake
- Regulated entity verification
- Policy engine configuration certification
- 2-of-3 quorum participation commitment

Archive Node
InfrastructureFull chain history nodes optimized for historical query serving, regulatory audit support, and blockchain analytics.
Hardware Specifications
Requirements
- No staking requirement
- Full chain history retention
- API endpoint availability
- Regular backup verification
RPC Node
ApplicationAPI query serving nodes providing JSON-RPC access for applications, wallets, and external integrations.
Hardware Specifications
Requirements
- No staking requirement
- Rate limiting configuration
- TLS termination
- Health check endpoints
Light Node
VerificationMinimal-footprint nodes that verify state through block headers and Merkle proofs without storing full chain data.
Hardware Specifications
Requirements
- Optional 10,000 UNY stake for Light validator class
- Standard P2P connectivity
- Header chain synchronization
Run a Validator Node
Institutional participants can apply to operate validator nodes. Genesis and Institutional validator slots are allocated through the governance review process.
